A dope ass burger with a martini and fries. What else is there to say? Also love the 90s alt music and the overall vibe.
10/10 Andrew. 5/10 website sign up experience. 11/10 burger experience.
The tomato jam was a little sweet which I enjoyed but half of the burger was plenty.
I could've eaten two 🙊
The overall performance of this burger meant business. A well balanced and perfectly prepared smash burger; the texture of the patty was everything you want, thin and crumbly and embodied with that dry aged beefy flavor. The toppings all played their part and would each be missed if they hadn’t made it between the bun; however, I did find there to be a touch too much bacon jam at times overpowering the patty. The French fries would be a quality side to any hamburger and the biggest plus for me is that I was offered mayonnaise for dipping. The wonderful staff, music, atmosphere, and kitschy decor created a welcoming environment every neighborhood would be proud to have.
To be fair, I did eat this burger a little cold. It was delicious and was a lovely classic burger. Shake shack with better ambiance. I have been surrounded with weekly mediocre burgers (I have kids so eat a lot of burgers) and it is nice to have one that feels overall satisfying but not mediocre. It’s diner feel made me want to add grilled onions and maybe another pickle. Simple burger I would eat on rotation.
The ratings are high, not to discount my favorites, but if you are craving a good burger that does not sacrifice on quality, this bit of nostalgia with its American gooey cheese, Russian dressing and snappy pickle is extremely fulfilling. Cozy slaps.
A glorious basic burger that transcends its humble origins. The beef is immaculate, the sauce and pickles add tang and texture. The fries are magnificent. The venue and martinis elevate. No complaints.
