Minetta Tavern's famous Black Label Burger

"Minetta Tavern has emerged as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the Monthly Burger Club. The Black Label Burger has shattered all previous challengers with a single dry-aged, clarified-butter-drenched blow from it's beefy fist. Taste, texture and harmoniousness all received high marks from the majority (although worth noting that the tasters in Session #2 were on the whole significantly less enthusiastic, so there may be consistency issues at play...), the lack of cheese causing few issues given the richness of the meat, the butter-soaked nature of it and the perfectly-caramalized onions topping the whole thing off. For sides, the fries were tasty and better than most, though not outstanding enough to raise the bar. Value took a definite hit given the $28 price tag, but many agreed that the experience justified the cost. The classic, old-New York atmosphere was praised by one and all, though we could've done without the slightly-judgemental waitress from Session #1. Full ratings breakdown below. And speaking of breaking through the glass ceiling, I'm tremendously proud to announce a new Personal Best for the "Rating Andrew as a Person" category - crushing my previous 3.9 high with a world-beating 6.4!! And the complex organizational elements of planning two large-party sessions at this notoriously-packed venue netted me a 10/10 rating (only one person rated this, but whatever I'll take it)."
